WACO, Texas (KXXV) — Police have confirmed that a semi-truck caught fire on I-35 North near the Valley Mills exit in Waco Wednesday morning. According to Waco Police Department, the semi caught fire after a crash around 3 a.m. The incident has caused traffic delays on I-35 going northbound with parts of the highway closed off as emergency crews clear the wreck. Police also confirmed with that the driver of the semi was able to get out the truck and was taken to a local hospital.

WACO, Texas— Iva Smith is the owner of the Jockey Club Barbershop but she wasn't even born yet, when it first opened as Waco's first Black-owned barbershop in 1917. "This is a picture of some of the people that came through, and is just some of the barbers," Smith said while looking at the photos that cover the barbershop walls. The pictures include memories of her late husband and former owner, Ben Smith.

WACO, Texas (KXXV) Fire crews in Salado worked overnight to contain a fire at a local supply house on FM 1670. The Bell County Fire Marshal said an electrical fire broke out around 4 p.m. on Tuesday in an upper room of the Salado Supply House. Several area fire crews were also called out to help put out the flames. The Fire Marshal deemed the building and some vehicles parked nearby a total loss.

MEXIA, Texas — Mexia ISD said it is taking extra precautions Tuesday morning following an investigation into a non-credible threat. According to a Facebook post by the school district, there was an investigation into a song making reference to “shooting up the high school in Mexia." The district said Mexia Police Department investigated and determined it was not a credible threat.
