However, while doing that, the suspect rammed a marked police vehicle before he continued down the median on Highway 2. On June 12 at approximately 2:30 p.m. Mounties say the four individuals entered the store and while distracting staff, one accessed the back and allegedly stole several pieces of jewelry, which resulted in an substantial loss.

    Although details are limited, WestJet has gone public over what it believes was a potential cybersecurity incident that may have affected its employees and customers. “(We are) aware of a cybersecurity incident involving internal systems and the WestJet app, which has restricted access for several users. We have activated specialized internal teams in cooperation with law enforcement and Transport Canada to investigate the matter and limit impacts,” said the airline on its website Friday.
