There weren’t any dancehall “fillies” or a campsite fire — but the Long Beach Cancer League’s second annual Sundance Soiree had everything else. It’s a lot!In California, nonprofits save on average $38.61 and hour from volunteers, according to Independent Sector — a coalition of nonprofits — and the Do Good Institute. Here in Long Beach, Musical Theatre West Guild member volunteers  worked at least 50 hours each in 2024, according to MTW. The total came out to 8,515 hours — which saved MTW $328,764.15 in labor costs.
