A DOCTOR left paralysed from the waist down after his bike snapped in half has secured a £4.5million compo payout. Dr Daniel Gordon, 31, has told how he was determined to prove that “life can still be rewarding and fulfilling” after reaching the settlement. The “catastrophic” incident happened in August 2020 as Dr Gordon was cycling downhill at around 15mph on a grassy slope in Inverness.

GLASGOW'S smelliest streets have been revealed as over 1,000 punters have kicked up a stink over the pungent odours in the last five years. The local authority keeps track of the complaints made to them about the most foul-smelling streets. A Freedom of Information request by the Glasgow Times found that 1,097 reports were made across the city between 2020 and 2024 relating to smells of sewage or cooking.

BreakingThe policeman was rushed to hospital for treatmentA MAN has been arrested following a crash involving a police officer in a Scots town. Cops have launched a probe into the incident which happened at around 3.55pm this afternoon on High Street in Haddington, East Lothian. A 34-year-old man has since been arrested in connection with an alleged road traffic offence after a crash involving a vehicle and a policeman.

The force is treating the blaze as "suspicious"COPS have issued an urgent warning after a huge factory in a Scots city was set alight. Mercy crews were scrambled to a derelict factory on St Salvador Street in Dundee at around 9.15pm last night after reports of a blaze. The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire. No one was injured. Cops are now treating the fire as "suspicious" after youths were spotted in the area earlier in the evening.
