I like to shop on SHEIN. Maybe not my best take, but I have some solid basics and pieces I had only planned to wear once from there. My favorite black shirt, claw clip and linen shorts for the pool this summer were all ordered from SHEIN. To a degree, I feel some guilt knowing that my clothes came from the fast fashion world and will likely only last me a season — dorm washers are not my friend.

I am a potential new member — a PNM. That is right, I am officially rushing a sorority. I can say without a doubt that this experience is nothing like what I could have imagined. Walking into the WPU on Friday, I was an anxious mess — still am. I had no idea what my evening would look like and especially could not believe I would feel so safe and loved within just 24 hours. Going into orientation, I was totally wracked with nerves.

We celebrated our one-year anniversary in August — he gets two mega-thumbs-up for planning the most romantic evening. Though my love life is rainbows and sunshine, being a student does not make it easy to find Mr. Right.

Not counting weekends or the holiday for MLK Day, it is a much shorter semester than fall but comes off the back of the much awaited winter break.

I have the great blessing of being a student at Pitt who has always called Pittsburgh my home. I am only a short drive from campus, meaning if I need a home-cooked meal, a mom to hug or just to rest for the weekend away from the noise of Oakland, I have it. But with the less miles comes more family responsibilities.
