Clouds begin to move in Wednesday night as lows drop to the mid and low 40s with fairly calm conditions through the morning. Thursday will be sunny in the morning with a few thin high clouds and temps will reach 5-10° above average in the mid to low 70s. Gusty winds pick up after 1 PM from the west-by-southwest and reach the 15-25 MPH range for most everyone, but locally could get to 35 MPH.

High pressure is extending over the region through Thursday as we start drying out tonight. Lows will be in the mid to upper 30s and low 40s tonight as skies clear out by Wednesday morning. The warming begins tomorrow with highs in the mid to low 60s thanks to mostly sunny skies through Wednesday. Clouds return but the high pressure remains through Thursday night helping temps climb to the upper 60s and low 70s.

An unsettled start to the work week as an upper trough in the Gulf of Alaska whips a few fronts through the PNW. A dry line moving through this afternoon will work as a lifting mechanism to kickstart a few thunderstorms in the Columbia Basin and Blue Mountain Foothills after 2 PM until 9 PM. Highs Tuesday will sit in the mid to upper 60s with lows tonight in the upper 30s and low 40s.

High pressure is slowly building into the region as we have some overhead divergence through the weekend. Warm and sunny Friday in the mid 60s with overnight lows in the mid to low 30s. Sunny skies will remain with calm conditions through Sunday as temps climb to the upper 60s and low 70s this weekend. Pollen counts remain very high so you might want some allergy medicine when heading to the Middleton Tulip Festival or the Dust Devil games this weekend.
