The Kittitas valley will continue to see gusts up to 25 mph through Monday. Wednesday will be the last day we see highs in the 80s. A cold front moves in cooling daytime highs into the mid and low 70s. Wind speeds are the primary concern in the long-term seeing gusts 25-35 mph in the Kittitas valley and Columbia Basin.

WASHINGTON - The Israel Defense Forces found it "most likely" killed three Israeli hostages in an airstrike last year. According to NBC News, the IDF said the hostages, Nik Beizer, 19, Ron Sherman, 19, and Elia Toledano, 28, were being held in a tunnel where Hamas commander Ahmed Ghandour was allegedly operating when the military struck on Nov. 10, 2023. Their bodies were found on Dec. 14.

ELLENSBURG, Wash. - The City of Ellensburg is holding an open house to allow community members to voice concerns about flooding and stormwater on Sept. 26. Attendees are invited to share their experiences, learn about flood risk, and ask questions about urban flooding. The open house will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ellensburg City Hall.
