(WBTW) — A jury has found a man accused of killing a 20-year-old outside of a Carolina Forest Planet Fitness in 2023 guilty of his charges after hours of deliberations Thursday afternoon. Abdullah Seifullah, 45, was convicted of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in the June 2023 death of David Roldan-Dimas, 20, of York County, who was shot and killed inside a car outside the gym.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Myrtle Beach City Council on Tuesday approved two new Pelicans’ developments as the city works quickly to find a solution to keep the Minor League Baseball team on the Grand Strand long-term. City leaders approved first reading of an ordinance to make Myrtle Beach the sole owner of Pelicans Ballpark, while Horry County still gives the city $6 million for the stadium’s needed renovations.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A 52-year-old man was found dead inside a wallaby and kangaroo enclosure with “multiple blunt force injuries,” at a Highway 746 farm just outside of Loris, the Horry County Coroner’s Office said. Eric Slate was discovered in the facility just before midnight. Authorities said an autopsy is planned as officers continue to investigate. A News13 crew on Saturday attempted to speak with Eric’s brother Robert, owner of 5-Star Farm, who declined to comment.
