HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A jury has found a man accused of killing a 20-year-old outside of a Carolina Forest Planet Fitness in 2023 guilty of his charges after hours of deliberations Thursday afternoon. Abdullah Seifullah, 45, was convicted of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime in the June 2023 death of David Roldan-Dimas, 20, of York County, who was shot and killed inside a car outside the gym.

FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A Florence County Public Works Department employee died Wednesday morning after authorities said his dump truck crashed into a tree. Willie Leverne Lee, Jr, 48, Coward, was pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle crash on Hyman Road in Pamplico, Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken said. An autopsy will be conducted at the Medical University of South Carolina. The crash happened just before 9:30 a.m., according to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — A suspect arrested in the Little River mass shooting over the Memorial Day weekend wasn’t alone the night of the incident, according to an attorney representing three of the 11 victims. Shawon Shamarion Williams, 19, was arrested Thursday in Lake County, Illinois, near Chicago. Deputy Chief Chris Covelli with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office said officers arrested Williams outside the Naval Station Great Lakes.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Authorities in Illinois have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the Memorial Day weekend shooting aboard a chartered party boat in Little River that injured 11 people. Shawon Shamarion Williams, 19, was taken into custody in Lake County, Illinois, according to the Horry County Police Department. He is expected to be charged with multiple counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A Myrtle Beach firefighter was taken to the hospital as a precaution Thursday morning as crews battled a two-alarm fire at a single-story home on 48th Ave. North, officials said. Fire Capt. Jonathan Evans said a “mayday” was called as crews battled the flames because of “rapidly changing conditions” but that all firefighters were able to get out and have been accounted for.
