    WINTERSVILLE, Ohio — Cadiz Road in Wintersville will be getting a new look in the future thanks to funding that was secured by the village. The funding is something that village officials have been awaiting for some time. The Ohio Public Works Commission awarded Wintersville a little more than $1.9 million. The village will match a little more than $200,000, but it is looking at ways to offset that match. Additionally, there is a loan that the village is putting towards the project.

    FOLLANSBEE, W.Va. — The Follansbee American Legion doors are now locked following the storm that rolled through our area April 29. The storm caused significant damage to the front of the building, with the roof caving in and structural walls shifting, thus making the building unsafe. Jefferson County Health Commissioner Andrew Henry highlighted the prevalence of black-legged deer ticks in the area, noting their potential to cause significant health issues despite their small size.
