WEIRTON, W.Va. — As of 2024, 170 million people in the United States have registered as organ donors. April marks Donate Life Month, a time to celebrate those who have donated organs to save lives. On Tuesday afternoon, WVU Medicine Weirton Medical Center hosted a Donate Life flag-raising ceremony to honor these life-saving individuals. CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A bill signed by Tuesday West Virginia Governor Patrick Morrisey will ban the use of cell phones in classrooms across the Mountain State. House Bill 2003 allows local county boards of education to prohibit the use of personal electronic devices in class. Morrisey says doing so can allow students to focus on their education with fewer distractions.
