Gaby Silverio, quien cursa su segundo año de estudios legales, no tenía planes de unirse a ninguna hermandad en la Universidad. Sin embargo, todo cambió el día en que asistió a una reunión introductoria a la hermandad latina Kappa Delta Chi. Lo que esperaba que fuera sólo otra presentación, se convirtió en algo más significativo para Silverio. Las hermanas “la hicieron sentir como si [ella] estuviera en casa”. Esto la motivó a regresar a otras reuniones, y eventualmente, unirse a la organización.

The fashion world seems to be changing faster than we can blink, starting off 2025 with the announcement that popular brand Y/Project is officially ceasing operation. The almost 15-year-old brand known for its Jean Paul Gaultier-esque resurgence of the scan of the naked female figure on neon dresses and the viral “floating” tank top straps closed its doors Jan. 9 due to its inability to find a new owner for the brand.

When I first joined the Daily Trojan as a staff writer for the opinion section, I had no shortage of self-doubt. To find my bearings, I gravitated toward what felt the most organic to myself and my college experience at the time by writing about the lack of LGBTQIA+ community and inclusivity at USC. My first article, once posted on our Instagram account, garnered far more attention than I expected and incurred countless angry commentators.
