1. IntroductionDiclofenac is a widely prescribed non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that has promising anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties. It is clinical proven effective in treating various acute and chronic pain and inflammation conditions [1]. Pharmacological studies have demonstrated that diclofenac exerts its efficacy by inhibiting cyclooxygenases, thereby reducing the production of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), a pro-inflammatory prostaglandin [2].

A multifunctional terahertz functional device based on vanadium dioxide (${{\rm VO}_2}$) and graphene is proposed, which can realize ultra-wideband absorption and polarization conversion. When the ${{\rm VO}_2}$ is in the insulating state, the device can achieve the polarization conversion function to convert the incident wave into the corresponding cross-polarized wave.

Metamaterials, as novel materials, have electromagnetic behaviors that can be realized by rationally designing the unit structure. It plays an important role in the research of terahertz functional devices. Switchable terahertz devices are constructed by flexibly combining the excellent properties of graphene and vanadium dioxide (${{\rm VO}_2}$) with the application potential of terahertz technology.
