Infertility affects roughly one in six couples worldwide with the prevalence ranging between approximately 12.6% and 17.5% of the adult population. In the Netherlands, 11.4% of women wishing to conceive suffer from infertility. This can significantly compromise quality of life (van der Linden et al., 2004; Aarts et al., 2011; Cox et al., 2022). The most common causes of infertility include tubal pathology and pelvic adhesions.

OverviewThis study will compare functional outcomes after an arthroscopic Bankart repair between patients that underwent conventional arthroscopic Bankart repair rehabilitation, following the American Society of Shoulder and Elbow Therapists guideline and patients that underwent 'multifactorial approach training', which focusses on decreasing kinesiophobia and fear of recurrent dislocations.

During the first year of life, one in four infants develops a symptomatic respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection, yet only half seek medical attention. The current focus on medically attended RSV, therefore, underrepresents the true societal burden of RSV. We assessed the burden of non-medically attended RSV infections and compared them with medically attended RSV.

OverviewThe goal of this clinical trial is to find out at which lower limit for saturation (amount of oxygen in the blood) we can best give extra oxygen to children that have been admitted for shortness of breath. We hope to accomplish a shorter period of illness for these children and that they can be discharged home earlier. Participants will receive supplemental oxygen if their blood oxygen levels are below 88% or below 92%.

This review aims to summarize the transmission patterns of influenza, its seasonality in different parts of the globe, air travel and cruise ship related influenza infections, and interventions to reduce transmission. The seasonality of influenza varies globally, with peak periods occurring mainly between October and April in the Northern Hemisphere (NH) and between April and October in the Southern Hemisphere (SH) in temperate climate zones.
