Disgraced former Anaheim Mayor Harry Sidhu was sentenced to two months in prison and a year of supervised release, along with a $55,000 fine at the Ronald Reagan Federal Courthouse in Santa Ana on Friday afternoon. “I am ashamed and I put my whole heart in the letter that I have described and given to you,” he said to U.S District Judge John Holcomb before his sentence was handed down. His sentence is set to start on Sept. 2.

U.S Attorneys are asking a federal judge to sentence disgraced former Anaheim Mayor Harry Sidhu to 8 months in prison for wire fraud, obstruction of justice and lying to FBI agents about trying to ram through the corrupted Angel Stadium sale in an effort to get $1 million in campaign support. Yet Sidhu, through his attorneys, is asking for three years of probation and community service – or a home arrest sentence.
