    Center Valley-based Shift4 Payments, Inc. is extending its previously announced all-cash tender offer through its indirect wholly owned subsidiary, GT Holding 1 GmbH, a Swiss limited liability company, to purchase all of the outstanding shares of Global Blue Group Holding AG. The transaction is expected to close by the third quarter of calendar year 2025, as previously announced. Global Blue is a Switzerland-based company that offers tourism shopping tax refunds.

    For a second consecutive year, Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) has been ranked among the “Best Small Airports” by Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards. It came in as number two out of 16 airports that were named as finalists, right behind Huntsville International Airport in Huntsville, Alabama.     As many as 350 Mack Truck workers may lose their jobs at the company’s Macungie facility in what State Rep. Josh Siegel, D-Lehigh, is blaming on the economic instability caused by ever-changing tariff policies.     Four nurses from St. Luke’s Allentown recently volunteered as caregivers in the African nation of Malawi. Kathleen Grant, ICU manager, led the group, which also included Lisa Reph, Gisele Commins and Emily Steward. The group was able to take 14 50-pound suitcases filled with medical supplies, medications, shoes and toothbrushes to the Southeast African country, which is one of the poorest countries in the world.
