The Flood Watch continues for Westmoreland, Fayette, Greene counties, along with Monongalia and Preston counties in West Virginia until 10 p.m.Rain will develop overnight into the morning commute. Scattered showers and storms are expected through the day on Tuesday, with a higher chance from midday through the evening hours. Heavy rain could produce localized flooding.

If you’re headed to the US Open, plan for muddy conditions. More rain and lightning could be possible later in the day, and rainfall could be heavy at times. The steadiest rain has set up just north of Pittsburgh and will continue to slowly track south. PITTSBURGH — Sunny and very warm this afternoon, temperatures will jump to the low 80s. Be sure to grab the sunscreen and a hat as the UV Index is expected to climb into the high range with the threat of sunburn in as little as 20 minutes. You may notice a hazy sunshine at times over the next two days. Wildfire smoke from Canada will begin to mix in a little more later Wednesday afternoon and evening and continue into Thursday.

CLARION COUNTY, Pa. — The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-0 tornado touched down in Clarion County on June 9. It happened around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Bush Run Road in WatersonThis brief tornado had an estimated peak wind of 75 mph and lasted about a minute. The path of the tornado was almost a quarter mile long and the path width was around 25 yards. The NWS observed damage to hardwood trees, including a tree that fell onto a garage, causing the structure to collapse.

PITTSBURGH — We’ll have clouds and sun this afternoon with breezy conditions, and temperatures will reach the mid to upper 70s. A few isolated showers are possible, mainly south and east of Pittsburgh this afternoon through the evening. Comfortable conditions will settle in, with a clearing sky tonight and into early Wednesday morning, and lows dropping to the 50s.
