ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) - A former church in the South Valley that once helped those struggling with drug addiction and homelessness is now being labeled a problem property. For more than a decade, the county has been trying to get the owners to clean it up. A mural of Jesus carrying a man on the side of the building on the corner of Old Coors and Bridge, is the only remaining sign of what the building used to be.

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) - Election day is less than a month away, and the Rio Rancho School District is asking voters to approve a bond measure. If passed, the bond will give the district more than $80 million for major upgrades. The Rio Rancho School District is hoping to put more than $13 million towards safety and security upgrades on their campuses. Earlier this year, the district began using a new weapon detection system at Cleveland High School.

(KRQE) - New video shows shows an arrest that started with spike strips in an Albuquerque motel parking lot; that led to a suspect trying to escape, crashing into a truck and trying to carjack someone. On May 3, Albuquerque Police officers spotted a stolen Audi parked at the Motel 6 on Coors and Iliff. When officers tried making contact with 43-year-old Marco Tijerina, he sped off.

Frank Ray, a former Las Cruces Police Officer, is celebrating the release of his first full album which celebrates his Latin roots. A decade ago, Frank Gomez was serving as an officer for Las Cruces PD. He served 10 years as an officer.
