MANILA – The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Wednesday said it is set to lift the maximum suggested retail price (MSRP) for pork and intensify the sale of supply from Food and Terminal Inc. (FTI) in partnership with Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Foods PLC (CP Foods). The MSRP for pork is set at PHP380 per kg. for "liempo" (belly); PHP350 per kg. for "kasim" (ham) and pigue; and PHP300 per kg. for "sabit-ulo". As of May 13, pork prices remain high in Metro Manila at PHP390 to PHP470/kg.

MANILA – The Department of Agriculture (DA) said Wednesday it aims to make the PHP20-per-kg. of rice available in 42 Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) centers and stores in Luzon this May. MANILA – More Filipinos in the Visayas may access the PHP20-per-kg. rice with the planned resumption of the “Benteng Bigas Meron Na” program in more areas in the region this week, the Food Terminal, Inc.
