    9am, Monday 22 July While the software update that caused Friday’s global IT problems has now been rectified, most of the GP practices in south west Hertfordshire, and a handful of the GP practices in east and north Hertfordshire and west Essex are still affected this morning. Clinical systems are being restored at these practices, but regaining full access to patient records and appointment information will take some time.

    Self-service blood pressure machines are available at the outpatients departments at Watford General, Hemel Hempstead, and St Albans City hospitals. The machines are easy to use, with step by step instructions available. West Herts Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care Board (ICB) are working on a joint project to increase opportunities for people to check their blood pressure.
