ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A 17-year-old suspect who police say escaped juvenile custody is being charged as an adult in connection with a shooting that happened in north St. Louis in October. Tabari Freeman is charged with second-degree murder, first-degree assault and armed criminal action. St. Louis police said the shooting occurred before 3:30 p.m. on October 23 in the area of Shreve and Anderson Avenues. Calvin Kelly, 20, was found suffering from a gunshot to the head.

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A missing 16-year-old from St. Charles County has been found safe, St. Charles County police say. Around 1:20 p.m. Tuesday, Charles Hughes was seen on Ring camera going home to get school work before going to Liberty Church on Crestview Drive in O’Fallon, Missouri, for class. A teacher saw Hughes leave the church around 4:45 p.m.Hughes’ mother tried calling his cell phone but did not get an answer.

O’FALLON, Ill. (KMOV/Gray News) – Multiple students at a private school in Illinois were taken to the hospital Thursday after they were exposed to a gas leak. According to O’Fallon Public Safety officials, officers were called to St. Clare Catholic School just before 9 a.m. after several students became ill during an all-school mass in the gym. At least one student passed out. Once students and staff realized something was wrong, the building was evacuated and 911 was called.

ST. LOUIS COUNTY (First Alert 4) – Eight more teenagers are being considered for assault charges following a March 8 fight that left a high school student severely injured. Video circulated on social media following the fight near Hazelwood East High School. Kaylee Gain was taken to the hospital in critical condition and was moved out of the Intensive Care Unit about two weeks after the fight. A lawyer for her family said she suffered a fractured skull and brain bleeding.

Imperial, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A firetruck crash was caught on camera Monday morning. Katelynn Voisey captured the moment the firetruck slid on the Imperial road and posted it to social media. The incident happened around 7 a.m. in the 1700 block of Parkside Place. “Car hit my car and then landed on a fire hydrant. Then the pick up hit the car and then the fire truck slammed the blue car past my car and used it as a buffer to not hit that guys house.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Two suspects are in custody after a Sunday afternoon robbery at a St. Louis Starbucks. St. Louis City police officers were called to the Starbucks at 212 South Ground just before 3 p.m. for a reported “robbery in progress.” When officers arrived at the location, a 37-year-old man was being held by customers. According to those inside the shop, two men entered and announced a robbery.

PIKE COUNTY, Mo. (KMOV/Gray News) – An 18-year-old was shot and killed in a hunting accident in Missouri on Sunday. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office said Trent Busch died after being shot while duck hunting in the Ted Shanks Conservation Area, about 100 miles northwest of St. Louis. Officials said the preliminary investigation found the shooting was an accident and there was no malicious intent. The Pike County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri Department of Conservation are investigating.
