On July 26, at approximately 8:40 p.m., CHP received calls of a vehicle versus a pedestrian on Bishop Avenue near Shields Avenue. Preliminary investigation indicates an unidentified man, was lying in the northbound lane of Bishop Avenue, north of Shields Avenue.

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 56-year-old man has been extradited from Mexico to California to face charges in a 2002 Visalia homicide, according to the Visalia Police Department. Around 10:15 p.m., on February 27, 2002, officers were called to the 1900 block of StevensonStreet for a report of shots fired. While officers were en route, they were advised that there was a man with gunshot wounds in the 900 block of West Walnut Avenue.

(KSEE/KGPE) – The 93-year-old man from Oakland who completed a lifelong goal to hike up Half Dome inside Yosemite National Park has advice for others in the same shoes, around the same age. “Keep climbing.”On July 18, Everett Kalin, accompanied by family, climbed the 14-to-16-mile round-trip hike to the summit, 8,800 feet above sea level, according to the National Park Service. “It was just so wonderful, there were a few tough parts, but I was confident I could do it,” said Kalin.

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man has been arrested after a shots fired call revealed illegal firearms, according to the Fresno Police Department. Officers say they responded to a two-round ShotSpotter alert in the area of Fairmont Avenue and Holt Avenue. Upon arrival, officers contacted a witness who advised they heard a male and female arguing inside a specific residence and heard two gunshots. Officers say the male and female were observed going back and forth to a vehicle during the argument.
