They include: Catherine Rowe, aged 41 and of Drake Crescent, Liverpool, Merseyside, was sentenced for speeding, in that she exceeded a 20mph limit on the A5104 at Pontybodkin on July 30 last year. She was fined £80 and handed four penalty points - as well as having to pay £110 costs and a £32 victim surcharge. Ellese Rothwell, aged 32 and of High Street, Prescot, was sentenced for speeding, in that she exceeded a 20mph speed limit on the A548 at Oakenholt on July 31 last year.

Dozens of people were injured when a car drove through a crowd of people in Liverpool city centre.

The Leader reported recently on Wrexham Council's plans to revert 52 roads across the county to 30mph by the end of June - with the first being changed on May 21 - and Flintshire Council intends to start reverting roads to 30mph in July. Following those statements, Leader readers shared their views on our Facebook page, with many branding the 20mph rollout a "waste of money." Views continue to pour in on the controversial scheme and the changing of some roads back to 30mph.

They include... Max Freudmann, aged 19 and of Mulsford Lane, Worthenbury, Wrexham, was sentenced for drink-driving at Malpas on December 14 last year. The court imposed a 13 month driving ban and a £140 fine. The defendant must also pay a £56 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Sophie Russell, aged 35 and of Weston Road, New Broughton, Wrexham, was sentenced for using threatening or abusive words or behaviour in Wrexham on February 25 this year.

In the Dock (Image: Archive) MANY defendants were dealt with by Wrexham Magistrates Court last week. They include... Daniel Croft, aged 31 and of Heol Y Goron, Leeswood, was sentenced for using a motor vehicle without insurance and whilst over the specified limit for cannabis; both of which took place in Buckley on February 9 this year. The court fined him £553 and handed down a 12 month driving ban. Croft must also pay a £221 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
