WhatsApp users have been left furious this morning after waking up to a new update that has introduced a big change. The messaging app has faced backlash in recent weeks after they made another small change to the app that users didn’t like. The company changed the first letter of the ‘online’ and ‘typing’ indicators to capital letters, when they had previously always been lower case. On similar messaging apps such as Facebook’s Messenger and Telegram, lower case is the norm.

The Simpsons have killed off a fan favourite after 34 years on the show. On 1 June 2009, Air France flight 447 disappeared over the Atlantic Ocean while en route from Rio de Janeiro to Paris with 228 people onboard. The cause of the tragic incident was attributed to a mix of technical failure made worse by a storm, and the pilots’ inability to respond appropriately to the plane stalling.
