About 2 minutes reading time. Steven Kwan was promoted to the Majors in 2022; since then, he has done nothing but shine at the plate and, most importantly, with his glove. 2024 marks the third straight year Kwan has won a Gold Glove. Kwan joins Ichiro Suzuki as the only two players to win a gold glove in their first three seasons in the MLB. Since being called up in 2022, Kwan has done nothing but hit while also not striking out. In 2022, Kwan finished third in the AL Rookie Of the Year.

About 3 minutes reading time. NEW YORK (AP) — Yankees starting pitcher Luis Gil was placed on the 15-day injured list with a strained lower back Wednesday, one day after exiting a start against the Cleveland Guardians in the fourth inning. Manager Aaron Boone said he expects the rookie to return soon. “It’s minor, it’s just lower back soreness,” Boone said before the Yankees continued a three-game series with Cleveland.
