By Stewart Chisham - News Editor The Spirit Lake High School All-School Reunion had its 50th celebration Sunday, Aug. 11 at the Dickinson County Fairgrounds' Expo Center. All Spirit Lake alumni were invited to come, and a grand total of 171 people showing up for the lunch line. It was also the 50th anniversary of the graduation of Spirit Lake High School Class of 1974. The class was invited to come and were the first up in line for food this year. The oldest person at the ceremony graduated in 1942.

By Stewart Chisham - News Editor A fatal car accident just outside of Lake Park resulted in the death of one teenager and the severe injury of another. On county road M27, a 2019 Kia Stinger was heading north when the driver, 18-year-old Teagan Vos of Sheldon, failed to navigate a curve just south of Highway 9. Vos lost control of the vehicle as it flipped over the road and landed in the ditch opposite.
