While I believe these findings are significant, they are not surprising. We have been hearing whispers from emerging pediatric science for years now that the introduction of new foods, especially those that contain the most common allergens in the U.S., can prevent food allergies later in life. It makes logical sense as well. Food allergies are simply an activation of the immune system responding to something foreign it perceives as a threat.
