Dr Heather Wilkins, who runs Angel Aesthetics in Market Lane, Crimplesham, saw her business crowned winner of the SOS Beauty Awards - Inclusive Business of the Year 2025 - after being listed among the top ten in three of the award categories.

Fifty years of bringing festival fun to Downham was celebrated on Monday when the parade marched into town. The golden anniversary event saw breathtaking arena attractions and colourful floats as the popular carnival day got underway. The parade, which included local groups, finished at the Howdale where the arena events took place. Trophies for the best floats were awarded to the Magpie Centre, West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled, and No8 the Old Bookshop.

Rotarians have continued their support for a centre which offers riding for those with disabilities and other activities. Paul Kunes, president of the Rotary Club of King’s Lynn, visited the Magpie Centre, the home of West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled, where he presented a cheque for £1,300.

A hoard of rare and internationally significant gold coins, found by metal detectorists in a West Norfolk field several years ago, is to remain in the UK and has gone on display in Norwich. Norwich Castle Museum & Art Gallery has announced it received £217,200 from the National Heritage Memorial Fund and £101,000 from Art Fund and The Wolfson Foundation to acquire the West Norfolk Hoard – the largest collection of seventh-century gold coins found in Britain.
