MORRIS TOWNSHIP, NJ — More than 3,000 law enforcement officers throughout the state will take to the streets of their local communities on Friday morning and run a distance of nearly 750 miles as part of the Special Olympics of New Jersey's 42nd Law Enforcement Torch Run. Officers from all over New Jersey will run one of 26 separate routes on June 6 — some starting as early as 4:45AM — to help carry the "Flame of Hope" torch to raise funds and awareness for the organization.
