BROOKLYN, NY — A man stole a woman's cell phone as she rode on a southbound Brooklyn subway train Thursday afternoon, police said. At about 4:40 p.m., a 23-year-old woman was aboard a southbound "L" train at the Jefferson Street subway station when a man approached her from behind, according to officials. The man then sneakily swiped her phone from her hands, police said, and then fled the scene in an unknown direction as soon as the train doors opened. No injuries were reported, police said.
