Saying he’s “still hungry,” Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty on Wednesday told supporters he will campaign for his fifth term as vigorously as he did for his prior landslide victories. “If I didn’t have the passion and the belief that I still want to represent people, I would not run,” Dougherty, 66, said at a launch party with his slate of at-large Democratic council incumbents Toshiba Foster, David Silva and Nathan Umbriac.

Around noon one Sunday in January, Wardell F. Corbin stepped behind a local teen and punched him so hard on the back of the head that he was unconscious before his face pitched onto the concrete platform of the Morristown train station. Corbin, 35, who pled guilty Monday to aggravated assault and child endangerment, acknowledged striking the blow “willfully and purposely.”What he did not tell Superior Court Judge Stephen Taylor was why.
