Level of experienceOur second research question focused on how well BBT prepares trainees for the next stage in their careers. At this point, their route to whichever specialty they choose will have been somewhat different to conventional training—when joining the second year of their desired specialty, they will have had 6 months less experience in their chosen specialty compared with ‘traditional’ trainees (although they will have an extra year of training overall).
