High prevalence of mental illness: In 2019-2020, 20.78% of adults in the US were experiencing a mental illness, which is equivalent to over 50 million Americans. In 2021, 22.8% of US adults experienced mental illness, and 5.5% experienced serious mental illness.

A couple of weeks ago, at Unleash Paris, Kate Aunaas-Ingram, Vice President of Attraction and Mobility for Statkraft, spoke about change, specifically in recruiting and during periods of growth. Whether or not your company is poised on a period of growth or not, the lessons she had for change can be helpful when looking toward 2025.

Oct 31, 2024There’s a little too much scary out there today. Dark-fiction scary. Big-picture scary. Every day down the street and around the world, it’s scary. Even the workplace isn’t spared. Despite low unemployment and strong economies, like here in the U.S., job insecurity and terrible candidate experiences still seem to be rising from graveyards like zombies. Let’s shed some light on those fragile yet hopeful flowers between those graves (Yikes! Even though that image is gruesome).

Oct 23, 2024They told me their application volume increased by 33.3% in the past six months, a very specific number for a big increase in mostly unqualified applicants for a large organization. And we keep hearing this over and over again from the employers, big and small, across industries in our CandE Community. The increases are mostly from midsized companies to global enterprises, but there have been smaller companies with similar increases in volume.
