A Piscataway police officer has been arrested and charged following a sexual contact investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office and South Plainfield Police Department. The officer was identified as Wesley Kliwinski, 37, a resident of Hamilton, Mercer County, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and South Plainfield Police Chief Peter Papa.

EDISON – Two township men have been arrested following a months-long narcotics investigation. Tyir Pugh, 42, and Deshaun Stephens, 18, were arrested and charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances (CDS) with the intent to distribute, multiple counts of possession of CDS, unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a ghost gun, possession of high-capacity magazines, and possession of a firearm while committing a CDS offense, police said.

Route 1 lanes in both directions between Townsley Street in Edison and the Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge will be closed during the daytime beginning this week for the start of a paving project. This part of the work is expected to take several weeks to complete. From 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. April 7, there will be temporary shoulder closures on Route 1 in both directions for construction sign installation, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
