READINGTON – Four people have been arrested in connection with an alleged house of prostitution following a three-week investigation into a Whitehouse Station spa. Li Saihong, 35, Chunhau Lai, 33, Jinhua Hau, 47, all of Whitehouse Station, were arrested and charged with one count of engaging in prostitution for economic gain, a disorderly persons offense, and one count of promoting a house of prostitution, a fourth-degree crime, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson said.

WOODBRIDGE – Police are investigating a daytime smash-and-grab robbery in which an undisclosed amount of jewelry was stolen from a store in the Iselin section. According to police, around 12:40 p.m. June 7 four people entered Virani Jewelers on Oak Tree Road and used hammers to smash display cases before taking an undisclosed amount of jewelry. Police said the robbery took about one minute. The four suspects then fled in a black SUV which was operated by a fifth suspect, police said.
Edison man charged with murder in South Plainfield stabbing

A 46-year-old Edison man has been charged with fatally stabbing a Raritan man and injuring a woman at a South Plainfield home on May 19. Pablo Cicero was arrested on May 29 and charged with murder, attempted murder and home invasion burglary, all first-degree crimes, as well as two counts of possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and two counts of unlawful possession of a weapon, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.

PERTH AMBOY - Police are searching for the suspects who stole a large amount of jewelry from a downtown store in a daring daytime smash-and-grab theft.Around 12:30 p.m. May 22, the suspects went into Ruby's Jeweler, 171 Smith St., and began breaking the display cases and made off with the jewelry, according to Police Chief Larry Cattano. Police did not disclose the value of the stolen jewelry.

EDISON – The owner of a Woodbridge Avenue massage parlor has been charged with money laundering and promoting prostitution following a yearlong undercover police investigation. The Edison Police Department's Vice Unit executed a raid on May 8 at Bliss Spa, 2595 Woodbridge Ave. as well as the township home of owner Daniela DiIenno, 47, in which more than $750,000 in assets were seized and four others arrested, police said.
