The Home News Tribune is a newspaper that caters to Middlesex County in New Jersey. It boasts an average daily circulation of approximately 49,000 copies on weekdays. This publication was formed in 1995 through the merger of two newspapers: The Home News from East Brunswick, which was established in 1879, and The News Tribune from Woodbridge Township. After the merger, the paper was briefly called the Home News & Tribune before dropping the ampersand. In 1997, it was acquired by the Gannett Company.

    A state appellate court has ruled that a Hackettstown woman must face animal cruelty and animal fighting charges after she attended a cockfight on Hardscrabble Hill Road in Raritan Township two years ago. Dayana Abreau appealed a ruling by Hunterdon County Superior Court Judge Christopher Garrenger refusing to dismiss the charges against her. Abreau has yet to be indicted. Abreau was charged after township police responded to a noise complaint at the Hardscrabble Hill Road property on May 11, 2024.
