Canadian novelists Emma Donoghue and Suzette Mayr have been shortlisted for the 2024 Dublin Literary Award. The annual award celebrates excellence in world literature, and the winner receives a €100,000 prize ($147,000 CAD). Books are nominated for the award by libraries around the world. The award is sponsored by Dublin City Council. Donoghue was shortlisted for her 2022 novel Haven, and Mayr for her Giller-winning The Sleeping Car Porter.
