BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Enjoy a lineup of live music at the beautiful LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens Thursday evening. The third annual family-friendly event allows families to bring out the lawn chairs and soak up tunes while enjoying music, food, and drinks. Music in the Gardens is scheduled for 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, in the Orangerie Garden. Tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for children and $16 for members. The lineup includes LeTrainiump, Molly Taylor and Rhett Glindmeyer.

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The first cohort of Baton Rouge high school students who participated in a program teaching life and leadership skills graduated Wednesday morning. Rep. Vanessa Caston LaFleur (D-Baton Rouge) introduced The Promise Lab program in February 2024. Operating under her Impact 101 platform, the program gives District 101 students in 9th and 10th grades a chance to learn different skills for success in academics and the workforce.
