EDEN, N.C. — Doug Sides was the kind of man who could light up a room. Those who knew him say he had a big personality — and an even bigger heart. "I just want everybody to know what an amazing man he was," Sides niece, Michelle Ery said. Sides is one of four linemen who were killed when a City of Eden dump truck crashed into a worksite on April 24. The tragic crash also left four others injured, including the driver of the dump truck.

She serves as the School Board Chair for Alamance-Burlington School System, she's a real estate broker, and she's a mom of three.
