The family of a 14-year-old killed in a hit-and-run in McKinney will lay him to rest on Monday. Services for Jamir Dabney will be held at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Plano. Viewing begins at 12 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at 1 p.m.Meanwhile, McKinney police are still searching for the driver who they say hit and killed Dabney on the night of December 21 and fled the scene of the crash.

It was anchors aweigh at the Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, where this year's Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl kicked off between the Navy Midshipmen and Oklahoma Sooners. The Navy overcame a big deficit of 0-14 at the end of the first quarter, clinching the bowl 21-20. But in the midst of the tackles and touchdowns, there were also tears of joy. During the second quarter, a message played on the jumbotron from U.S. Armed Forces Senior Airman Aaron Bach to his family in the crowd.

In the days leading up to Christmas, Fort Worth fire crews were busy in more ways than one, battling blazes, and beating Santa to deliver presents. On Sunday, Dec. 22, firefighters responded to a house fire off Weber Street at 4:45 a.m. "We arrived and found a one-story wood frame house that had fire pretty much coming out of the roof the windows the doors," said Captain Cleve Brunson of Fire Station 12. They met the family - safe - in the front yard before entering to put the fire out.

A busy Mother Nature competing with Santa Claus on Christmas Eve caused flight delays at DFW International Airport on Tuesday. According to the FAA's airport status website, weather and thunderstorms pushed back some arrivals for hours. "We had to circle in the air for I think it was like 40 minutes," said Sean Short, coming in from Salt Lake City.

To know 23-year-old Kiara Valdez was to know laughter said loved ones. "If you were sad, she's going to do everything she can to turn that around, to at least crack a smile. But her goal was to make you laugh," said Nicole Valdez, her mother. "Anybody who ever met her had a hoot-- boy, I'm talking about it doesn't even have to be funny and it's funny," said friend Alexus Wickerham. It's what Valdez's aunt, Chante Valdez, is hanging onto.
