    The president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya (aka MC Oluomo), has described the federal government’s decision to toll some highways as a welcome development. Akinsanya said it would enhance the maintenance of the roads and make them last longer. According to Akinsanya, tolling of highways is not synonymous with Nigerian alone, stating that highway tolling is a norm in some advanced countries he has visited.

    Distributes food items to 250As part of activities marking his 60th birthday, the former commissioner with the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), Alhaji Musibau Oyefeso, has floated a foundation to sponsor the education of the out-of-school children. Alhaji seized the opportunity of the occasion to distribute food items to 250 people. The gesture, he said, was to cushion the effect of economic crisis in the country.
