DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) — Nadis Carlisle Jr. is no stranger to the Decatur Police Department. He served the department for more than 25 years before retiring in December 2016. However, his second stint with the police department comes at an especially challenging time for the city. “I thought I was the person that could, make things better. And that doesn’t mean fix it. But I wanted to be a part of the solution and not part of the problem,” Carlisle told News 19 in a one-on-one interview on Thursday.
