The event was held in celebration of the final steel beam being placed on the primary building structure for the new sports stadium. It also coincided with The Diamond Stadium’s 40th anniversary.

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The Richmond Police Department has arrested a man whose 2-year-old son was injured in a shooting earlier this month. At 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, officers were called to the 1900 block of West Main Street for a reported shooting. Upon their arrival, the officers were told a young boy had been shot and taken to a nearby hospital by his parents. Moments later, the hospital notified police that the child had arrived.

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — The city of Richmond has decided which small businesses will receive grants meant to help them recover from January’s water crisis. On Wednesday, April 16, city officials announced that 117 of the small businesses that applied for its Small Business Recovery Grant Fund will each receive a $2,500 or $5,000 grant.
