Tulsa residents may soon be paying more on monthly utility bills. This comes as the city is in budget talks. Mayor Monroe Nichols is calling this year's budget a tough one. He said with the current economic predictions, Tulsa's in a position to experience moderate to low growth this budget cycle while still having to be mindful of costs. "This is not to make money. This is simply to cover our costs due to trends in the national economy," he said.

A former Tulsa firefighter and barbershop owner who was found guilty of 10 counts of child pornography and 11 counts of peeping tom last month was sentenced to 23 years in prison Tuesday morning, according to the Tulsa County Attorney's Office. TULSA, OKLA (KTUL) — Some Tulsa City Councilors are raising concerns about the 911 dispatch response times and want to see changes. "When you call 911 you want someone to pick up. That's your lifeline," Captain Richard Muhlenberg with Tulsa Police said. He adds response times are always a concern. "It always is."Response times is from the time a 911 call goes out to when first responders arrive to the scene.

Mon, May 12th 2025 at 10:20 AMMuskogee County District Attorney Larry Edwards found unresponsive during welfare checkMUSKOGEE, OKLA (KTUL) — Muskogee Police Department (MPD) confirmed Muskogee County District Attorney Larry Edwards was found unresponsive on Monday morning. According to MPD, officers were dispatched for a welfare check at 8:05 am to check on Edwards. When officers arrived, investigators said they found Edwards was unresponsive inside the home.
