OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (KTUL) — State Representative Gabe Woolley told News Channel 8 he has a letter requesting an audit with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services that's being signed by other lawmakers. He said there are nearly 30 lawmakers in support of the audit so far. This comes after OKDHS asked for an additional $100 million in its budget from the state, but that's the same amount OKDHS overspent last year, which is raising some red flags for lawmakers like Woolley.

"Telling us to go back to our country, kind of rubbing it in our face that we lost 1-0. It rubbed salt on the wound from that moment on," Xavier Escareno, Daniel Webster High School's soccer team captain, said. The game that happened Tuesday night against Locust Grove was not how he expected it to end.

Some Oklahoma lawmakers are looking into potentially cutting the state's K-8 school districts in an effort to cut costs. The idea comes from the state's version of "DOGE," which is proclaimed to be Government Efficiency in an effort to find what some lawmakers consider "wasteful spending.""It'll be devastating to schools and the rural areas," Peggs Superintendent Dr. John Cox said. He's also the President of the Oklahoma Rural Elementary Schools of 92 districts across the state.

We're hearing from Tulsa County and the surrounding areas three tribal chiefs. The State of the Tribal Nations was held Tuesday afternoon. The three Nations in the Tulsa area, Osage, Cherokee, and Muscogee Creek, are celebrating the billions of dollars that have been invested in the community and state. They said they've had good investments in the community and created thousands of jobs combined.
