Now in effect, the collaboration aims to enhance accessibility and promote inclusive educational resources. The Ontario Court of Appeal found the province’s COVID-19 lockdown regulations that restricted peaceful assembly were unconstitutional, after former Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston member of provincial parliament Randy Hillier appealed an earlier court decision. Hillier was charged in 2021 under the Reopening Ontario (A Flexible Response to COVID-19) Act (ROA) for organizing or hosting protests against pandemic measures that spring.
