Isabel Perez’s first-grade dual immersion class at Mountain View Elementary aims for two things: helping students master the art of becoming bilingual and having tons of fun. At the start of the day, the class will gather at the front of the room and sing a catchy Spanish tune to help set the mood.

VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE) – A math teacher in Visalia wants students to know that Trigonometry is not so tricky. Students at Visalia Charter Independent Study have been busy all year long mastering the art of math in Ben Goodman’s class. As the school year comes to a close, a quick lesson in trigonometry is finally here for this 10th and 11th-grade class. “Even if math isn’t their favorite subject, which is hard for teens, they still go in there and they give it their 100%,” Goodman said.
