DFW Airport will offer its first nonstop flight to Taipei in October. The latest: EVA Air will run three flights a week from Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan's capital city to DFW starting Oct. 3, airport officials announced yesterday. It's one of several new international flights launching from DFW. Cathay Pacific begins nonstop flights to Hong Kong this month — an 8,123-mile journey.

Around 22% of Texans identify as Catholic, per data from Pew Research Center. The big picture: Pew surveyed 35,000 Americans in all 50 states in 2007, 2014 and 2023-24 about their religious affiliations, beliefs and practices. An estimated 62% of Americans identify as Christian, the survey found. Zoom in: 60% of adults in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro identify as Christian. 14% identify as Catholic.
