HENDERSON, Nev. - As temperatures pushed 90 degrees, Pete Carroll strapped on his gloves and backpedaled on the field as the Las Vegas Raiders' defensive backs looked on. With the 73-year-old coach showing that type of energy during the stretching period, there was little room for anyone else to slack off. "He was out there working on his press," cornerback Darien Porter said Friday. "It's funny, but I really appreciate it.

Five minutes was all it took. Back in May 2021, Ashton Jeanty was a high school junior slot receiver with more catches than carries to his name. Despite a lack of experience running the ball, he had barely started his recruiting workout at Boise State before then-head coach Andy Avalos offered him a scholarship to play running back. The Las Vegas Raiders' roster is full. After drafting 11 rookies, signing 14 undrafted free agents and adding defensive tackle Laki Tasi, they have all 90 offseason roster spots filled. HENDERSON, Nev. - Every year, there's a new crop of undrafted free agents who go under the radar but ultimately break through to make 53-man rosters across the NFL. Last year, the Las Vegas Raiders had two make their team: receiver Ramel Keyton and linebacker Amari Gainer. This year, the Raiders signed 15 UDFAs who'll have an opportunity to follow in their footsteps. The Raiders were a 4-13 team last year and did little in free agency, so there are plenty of roles up in the air for 2025.

HENDERSON, Nev. - Pete Carroll has made it clear that the Las Vegas Raiders will be all about competition under his watch. After selecting 11 players in the 2025 NFL Draft and signing 15 undrafted free agents, there will be plenty of it throughout offseason team activities and training camp. There are a few unquestioned starters, such as quarterback Geno Smith and defensive end Maxx Crosby, but the Raiders are set to have position battles for starting roles on offense and defense.
