NAGS HEAD, N.C. — Three people have been displaced after a house fire in Colington Wednesday afternoon. Around 1:30 p.m. the Colington Volunteer Fire Department received calls for a house fire. When they arrived to the scene, the three story house had smoke and fire showing from the rear of the home. At the time of the fire, a father and daughter had been inside, but they were able to safely escape the fire without assistance.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — A house fire in Virginia Beach has displaced three people and multiple dogs. Virginia Beach firefighters were called to the 3800 block of North Landing Road on Wednesday evening. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke coming form the single-story home. "Two adults, one child, and 50 dogs were displaced," the spokesperson said. 13News Now is following up to confirm the number of dogs displaced is indeed 50.

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — One person has died following a shooting on Elm Avenue in Portsmouth Wednesday evening. Police were called to the 2100 block of the street just after 5:15 p.m. When they arrived, they discovered two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One of the victims succumbed to their injuries on the scene. The other victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police did not disclose the identities of the victims, nor did they share any suspect information.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Virginia Beach police are looking for a missing, endangered man who may be suffering a mental health emergency. Michael Johnson, 57, is described as 5'8" and 140 lbs. Police describe him as having black hair and brown eyes. He may be wearing a black shirt, black pants, and a hat. Johnson was last seen around 4:15 p.m. near the 5400 block of Heatherton Court. He was reported missing on Tuesday after experiencing a mental health emergency, and police believe he is endangered.
