Could the tariff war between the United States and China signal the end for many of Chinatown's small vendors here in the city? Depending on who you talk to, it may not be a far-fetched scenario. President Trump's tariffs on nearly all U.S. trade partners last week dropped to 10% for the next 90 days, but tariffs on China jumped as high as 145%. China immediately struck back, also raising its duties on imports of U.S. goods to 125%.
