To say playwright and director Tara Moses is in demand doesn’t even scratch the surface of this artist’s busy schedule. In the past six months, in the Boston area alone, she’s directed two plays (“The Thanksgiving Play” for Moonbox and “Where We Belong” at Umbrella Stage), and seen Company One produce her new play “Haunted.” Now, Fresh Ink is mounting her play “Sugar,” April 17-May 3 at the BCA Black Box Theatre.

Playwright Ricardo Pérez González is proud to call “Don’t Eat the Mangos” a “kitchen sink drama.”“The kitchen, the living room – that is where life happens,” Pérez González says before rehearsal for the Huntington production, which runs March 26 to April 27 at the Calderwood Pavilion.

The Reduced Shakespeare Company built their reputation on going big. Since their founding in 1982, the company has tackled the complete works of William Shakespeare, the histories of America, comedy, the Bible, sports, and Hollywood, distilling each of these vast topics into remarkably and hilariously compact adventures.

The Boston theater community is mourning the loss of an important figure. Ron Ritchell, who cofounded the Lyric Stage, one of the city’s preeminent mid-size theaters, has passed away. Ritchell, 83, created Lyric alongside wife Polly Hogan in 1974, when Boston was far from the vibrant ecosystem of small, mid-size, and large regional theater companies it is now. In fact, the Lyric Stage pre-dated the launch of the Huntington and American Repertory Theater by nearly a decade.

Princess Léontine, the protagonist of “Triumph of Love,” the latest production at the Huntington, makes no apologies for her determination to get what she wants, no matter how many people she deceives along the way. “She is cunning,” says Allison Altman, who portrays Léontine in the production, which runs March 7-April 6.

On a mission to see all @vincentdonofrio movies in his filmography -- in order. I'd already seen so many, but "It Don’t Pay to Be an Honest Citizen" is the missing link. Where oh where?! Saw "Dying Young" again last night (which I have on VHS; yep, I collect them, too). #bigfan

Timed to #WomensHistoryMonth and today's #SupremeCourt drama, this time capsule of a play packs plenty of time-release outrage. @thelittletheatr
